Pick box removal and replacement

These are some of the scrolls out for refurbishment. We start out by cleaning all the old dirt and rust from the boxes. Once the faulty boxes have been identified we proceed to burn these off using oxy-propane burners. The burnt area then gets ground and marked ready for the new box, tacking one box in at a time to ensure they have the right pitch along the scroll.
